Hi Monique, interesting topic and thanks for the reading tip. What would be the challenge here according to you? As everybody is able to have access to digital tools, everybody can be a digital activist or hacker nowadays… you don’t have to be very technical. Maybe the value of digital activism is in the attitude towards the world. Caring = sharing? What do you think.

This summit looks interesting indeed! How about the topic social media and digital activism? How can we evaluate digital activism and what is the value within our global society? The publication ‘Digital Activism Decoded’could be a nice start.

Hi Patrick, this is certainly very interesting. One of the now running projects in the 18th. round of Digitale Pioneers is currently experimenting with this, the Urbanode project, look at their project and video at http://www.digitalepioniers.nl/projecten/Urbanode/207. We thought it would be cool to experiment with an application for the Summit, so that all participants in Trouw can directly interact with the building (for example lighting and other displays). If you have ideas on how this application could look like, please share!

A topic which has my personal interest these days is the relationship of ’social media’ reality and ‘real’ reality. Perhaps social media poorly reflects physical reality. Which is interesting since LBS-services like Foursquare are making a strong connection to the physical. But perhaps this is just a personal fascination.
