Round table session on open e-culture tonight
Tonight we are hosting a round table session on social media and open culture in cooperation with Creative Commons Netherlands. Together with different stakeholders working as researcher, activist, programmer, digital pioneer in the field of open e-culture media projects, we will address the following questions:
- In what ways has the open – open source and content – production of creative works contributed to a stronger civel society? What successful business models can we identify?
- What needs exist among existing projects in the field?
- What solutions can be proposed and what recommendations can we make to the outside world and politics?
Discussing the future of open e-culture
We hope to have a good discussion on what open source en open content has brought us and what will be the future of open e-culture. The findings from the round table will be posted on this blog to be further discussed. The discussion will be processed in a publication and presented after State of Social Media Summit in October 2010.

Creative Commons Netherlands is a collaborative project by Waag Society, Knowledgeland and the Institute for Information Law (IViR). CC-NL pursues the development and promotion of, and information about Creative Commons licenses in the Netherlands.
